So, how does it work?

Acupuncture is an ancient method used across many cultures. It dates back as early as 6,000 years ago. The use of fine, single use needles are inserted into the body to stimulate points and pathways, called meridians. These points and pathways carry a life force, called Qi (pronounced chee), that is vital to the health of our mind and body.
Where there is an imbalance, there will be disease. We use different tools to tap into the body’s natural intelligence to help support the healing process. Acupuncture offers support for all types of acute and chronic conditions. A few commonly treated conditions include pain, sleep disorders, stress, anxiety, menstrual issues, and fatigue.
If you are new to acupuncture, you are in the right place. We love welcoming new patients into our office and the world of optimal health.

Acupuncture & Fertility

Infertility effects roughly 1 in 5 Americans (9% of males and 13% of females ages 15-49). With many options for family planning, acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine are one of the most natural, cost effective and successful ways to conceive. We support the body as a whole to identify and eliminate whatever factors may be interfering with conception. In our office we coach you on fertility tracking and provide a personalized treatment plan for your family planning needs.

Good candidates for fertility acupuncture are people who are unable to achieve a positive pregnancy, those who experience frequent miscarriage, women with gynecological disorders, women over 35, and people going though assisted reproductive technologies such as IVF and IUI. Here are some of the ways that acupuncture can assist people with fertility:

01

Regulation of Hormones

Acupuncture helps regulate and balance hormones that play a crucial role in the menstrual cycle and reproductive processes. This can be especially beneficial for women with irregular menstrual cycles and complex gynecological issues such as endometreosis and PCOS.

03

Stress Reduction

Infertility, as well as IVF, can be emotionally taxing, and stress may negatively impact fertility. Acupuncture is known for its stress-reducing effects by naturally balancing cortisol and regulating the nervous system, which contributes to improved fertility outcomes.

02

Improved Blood Flow

Acupuncture enhances blood flow and therefore oxygenation to the reproductive organs, promoting a healthier environment for conception and implantation.

04

Support for Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) - IVF & IUI

Some studies suggest that acupuncture, when combined with procedures like in vitro fertilization (IVF), may enhance the success rates of these assisted reproductive technologies. A study published in the Fertility and Sterility Journal found that acupuncture performed before and after embryo transfer resulted in a 42.5% clinical pregnancy rate in the acupuncture group compared to 26.3% in the control group.

Chelsea took her time asking me extensively about my symptoms before proposing a plan for our session
I felt seen and safe under her care.  Not only was my appointment easy and comfortable, but my pain was gone after one session.
She did what other healers could not. I was out of pain, quickly. Thank you!

Chelsea is a compassionate healer. She listens intently while offering individualized care. I struggled with painful menstrual cramps and PMS, and after only a few sessions of acupuncture and rounds of Chinese herbs, I was able to find relief. I would definitely recommend her to those who suffer from women’s hormonal issues!
